Dec 1994: O D Gulati award for the best paper in autonomic research entitled " Effect of quinolones on skeletal muscle function", (N Gopinathan, CN Potkar, MR Garg, NA Kshirsagar) at the XXVIIth Annual conference of the Indian Pharmacological Society, 21st - 24th Dec 1994, Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India.

Nov 1995: UK Sheth award for best paper in clinical pharmacology entitled " Drug resistance in Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax malaria in Mumbai, (MR Garg, CN Potkar, N Gopinathan, RN Kotwani, PV Bodhe, NA Kshirsagar) at the XXVIIIth conference of the Indian Pharmacological Society, Hissar, Haryana, India.

Dec 1998:
Best research paper award by the staff research society for " Efficacy of primaquine as anti relapse therapy for Plasmodium vivax malaria in Mumbai, India" (Gogtay NJ, Desai S, Kamtekar KD, Kadam VS, Dalvi SS, Kshirsagar NA), 15th Dec 1998, Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India.

Dec 1999: Best research paper award by the staff research society for " Cost effectiveness analysis of Therapeutic Drug monitoring in patients with generalized tonic-clonic epilepsy"(Rane CT, Dalvi SS, Gogtay NJ, Powar HS, Shah PU, Kshirsagar NA), 1999, Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India.

Nov 2002:
Shirin Mehta 2nd best paper award for " A comparison of intravenous versus intra leisional cefotaxime in patients undergoing clean, elective surgery" (Gogtay NJ, Pandya JS, Rajgor D, Kshirsagar NA), BJ Wadia, Hospital, Mumbai, India

Jan 2003: Best paper prize (Dr Amrit Mody award) at the staff research society monthly meeting of the Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital.. This was won for presentation of " Efficacy of 14 days primaquine therapy as anti-relapse for Plasmodium vivax, (NJ Gogtay, D Rajgor, SS Dalvi, LS Bichile, AR Chogle, U Aigal, K Kain, NA Kshirsagar) an Indian Council of Medical Research funded project.

Jan 2003:
MGM best paper award for " Evaluation of epoxide hydrolase deficiency in patients with anti-convulsant hypersensitivity syndrome", at the Annual conference of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists, Kolkata, India. (R Shankar, , NJ Gogtay, NA Kshirsagar)

Aug 2003: Best paper prize (Dr Amrit Mody award) at the staff research society monthly meeting of the Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, held on 6th August 2003. This was won for presentation of " The diagnostic and prognostic utility of rapid strip (OptiMAL and Paracheck) versus conventional smear microscopy in adult patients of acute, uncomplicated P.falciparum malaria in Mumbai (Bombay).(Gogtay NJ, Dalvi SS, Chogle AR, Karnad DR, Rajgor D, Ramdas M, Aigal U, Kshirsagar NA) an Indian Council of Medical Research funded project.

Feb 2004: Best poster award at the National conference on Management of HIV/AIDS in restricted resource settings at the Taj President, on 20th Feb 2004. This was won for the poster on Safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of oral 200mg nevirapine suspension in HIV_1positive mothers for prevention of vertical transmission in Mumbai. Aug 2004: Best paper prize (Dr Amrit Mody award) at the staff research society monthly meeting of the Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, held on 9th August 2004. This was won for presentation of "Evaluation of the safety and efficacy of bulaquine versus primaquine for gametocytocidal action in patients of acute, uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in Mumbai, India. (Gogtay NJ, Bangar P, Dalvi SS, Kshirsagar NA).

Sep 2004: Best paper prize (Dr Amrit Mody award) at the staff research society monthly meeting of the Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, held on 19th September 2004. This was won for presentation of "Safety, tolerability, efficacy and plasma concentrations of diethylcarbamazine and albendazole co-administration in a field study in an area endemic for lymphatic filariasis in India. Jan 2005: Best paper prize (Dr Amrit Mody award) at the staff research society monthly meeting of the Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, held on 20th January 2005. This was won for presentation of " A prospective study of serious adverse events admitted to a tertiary referral centre in India". (Gogtay NJ, Sahasrabudhe R, Lahiri K, Deshmukh CT, Bavdekar SB, Kshirsagar NA)

March 2005: Best poster prize for " A study of bioequivalence of three generic brands of nevirapine available in the Indian market with pure nevirapine powder in 12 normal, healthy, Indian volunteers at the International HIV Congress 2005, 11-13 March 2005, Mumbai. (Thakur PA, Dalvi SS, Gogtay NJ, More BD, Gupta AH, Kshirsagar NA.)

April 2005:
Best paper prize (Dr Amrit Mody award) at the staff research society monthly meeting of the Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, held on 20th April 2005. This was won for the presentation of " A post marketing study of the safety and efficacy of an Indian liposomal Amphotericin B preparation". (Hegde S, Gogtay NJ, Kshirsagar NA)

Jan 2006: Best paper prize at the staff research society monthly meeting of the Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, held on 24th Jan 06. This was won for the paper on "Evaluation of Cytochrome P4502C19 (CYP2C19) polymorphism in normal, healthy, adult Maharashtrian population (Western India).
