BENEFITS

You stay Connected:

Once a student graduates from the College, he/she can become a member of the GOSUMEC Alumni Association. The
status as an alumnus entitles you to participate in all GOSUMEC Alumni Association programs, events and
activities. So don’t miss out – please join us!

Networking opportunities:

One of the main purposes of alumni associations is to support a network of former graduates who will, in turn,
help to raise the profile of the COLLEGE.  GOSUMEC Alumni association aims to bring together like-minded
individuals. If you’re heading to graduation in a couple of months or have just finished your degree, joining
our college’s alumni association is a good way to get a foot in the door. Contact our alumni association to see
various networking opportunities they offer like  job fairs,  mentor programs through alumni associations.

What you can do for your alma mater –

Step 1 – Form an Interest Group:

  1. Meet informally with alums to obtain missing names.
  2. Use the existing alumni organization.
  3. Obtain a geographic listing of members from your headquarters office.
  4. Telephone and personally meet with alums.
  5. Directly ask for their participation in the association.

Giving back with our money and our time helps support the next generation of students and alumni. When we give
back to our colleges, that money goes toward research, scholarships, and new facilities, among other things. It
helps increase the stature of the college, making it a better place.

Step 2 – Give back

Remember that your college provided you with numerous educational opportunities and that your alumni association
isn’t just about discounts and job offers. Whether you know it or not, your  alumni association was probably
instrumental in your success, and their students’ successes post-graduation  promote the college’s reputation.
Plus, alumni associations are great resources for incoming students – many award scholarships (funded by
donations from alumni).  So you sign up for membership, send a generous donation, or offer to serve as a mentor,
there are many ways that your alumni association will help you help your college and needy students.

Step 3 – Career building tools:

One of the things to remember about GOSUMEC alumni associations is that we want you to succeed. Of course,
successful graduates are a college’s best asset. Remember the mentor programs can be great tools for building
your career or finding ways to maximize your earning potential.

Step 4 – Share you achievements:

We will be happy to highlight your achievements on website, college notice boards, Gymkhana magazines, Annual
Report of the college.

Kindly send a copy of book authored by you for our Archives.

Also kindly share old photographs at nostalgia@kem.edu for our Archive.
